Dr. Tugce Baser is a professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign specializing in geotechnical engineering. Her research focus includes modeling of multiphysics in geomaterials with applications to geothermal energy, frozen ground, and climate change related geotechnics (cascading hazards). Dr. Baser is one of the leading researchers in geothermal energy in the USA and has received several awards for her contributions in the Energy Geotechnics area.
