ICEG will foster the dialogue between Geoenvironmental Engineering professionals and researchers envisioning sustainable infrastructure solutions for addressing global grand challenges

Message from the Chair

We are very excited to invite you to participate to the 9th International Congress on Environmental Geotechnics, the premier event in geoenvironmental engineering, organized by the Technical Committee 215 of the ISSMGE. The conference is held under the auspices of the Hellenic Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.

Geoenvironmental engineers are at the forefront of protecting public health and promoting sustainability and prosperity on this planet. The conference theme on “Addressing Global Challenges” aims to highlight the role that Environmental Geotechnics plays on addressing major societal challenges such as: Urbanization and Aging Infrastructure, Energy Security, Resource Scarcity and Preservation, Climate Change and Natural Hazards, Protecting Public Health, The Next Frontier: Living in extreme environments and Education & Post-truth Society.

On the sandy beaches of the conference venue, next to monuments dating back to 5000 BC, we will interact, collaborate, exchange ideas, and work towards a brighter future for this planet. The venue is ideal for an unforgettable family trip and we are excited to put together a truly outstanding technically, but also fun program.

So reach out to us, connect with us, and come at the 9th ICEG, for a truly amazing experience.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee,

Dimitrios Zekkos
